Quickstart
This guide walks you from your invitation email to a saved, exported audience. It should take about five minutes.
1. Accept your invitation and set a password
Section titled “1. Accept your invitation and set a password”- Open the invitation email and click Accept invitation.
- Choose a password. It must be at least 12 characters.
- You’ll land on the dashboard at
/dashboard.
Full details, including link expiry, are in Accepting your invitation.
2. Open the audience builder
Section titled “2. Open the audience builder”From the dashboard, open the Builder. This is where you compose an audience. You’ll see:
- a catalogue of markets and segments you can search and filter, and
- a workbench where the audience you’re building takes shape.
New to the layout? Take the tour of the dashboard.
3. Add your first segments
Section titled “3. Add your first segments”- Pick a market (for example, a country or region your plan includes).
- Browse or search segment groups, then expand one to see its segments.
- Click a segment to add it to the workbench. Add a few that describe the same idea — for example several “affluent” segments.
Segments you add to the same group are combined with OR (any of them can match). Learn more in Audience logic.
4. Narrow with a second group
Section titled “4. Narrow with a second group”To require another characteristic as well, add a new group and put segments in it. Separate groups are combined with AND (all groups must match).
Example: Group 1 = “affluent” segments (OR’d), Group 2 = “frequent diners” (OR’d). The audience is affluent and frequent diners.
5. Request statistics
Section titled “5. Request statistics”Click Get statistics (or request stats for a single segment). Maddict returns:
- Reach % — how much of the base your audience represents.
- Index — how concentrated the trait is versus the baseline (100 = average).
- Outcome areas — where this audience lives, works, dines, and shops, plotted on the map as geo points.
These numbers are explained in detail in Statistics & outcomes.
6. Save your audience
Section titled “6. Save your audience”Give the audience a clear name and click Save. It now appears under Saved audiences, available to your whole team.
7. Compare and export
Section titled “7. Compare and export”- Put two or more saved audiences side by side in Compare to decide which performs best.
- When you’re happy, export the results to hand off to activation.
